Fear of Light?

July 30 - 15  |  In eye care, photophobia means increased light sensitivity.  (It does not mean a true, Draconian “fear” light as usually denoted by a "phobia".)  If you experience increased light sensitivity, it is definitely worth having an assessment.  Eye infections, inflammations, cataracts, toxicity reactions, allergy, ultra-violet light damage, retinal/photo-receptor dystrophy and vascular issues (e.g. migraines) are just some of the things that can cause enhanced light sensitivity.  Your sensitivity to light should not change - please let us know if it does.   dr.j   Studioeyecare.com
