Oct 12 - 15 | When do eye drops expire is the question of the day... All eye drops should be stamped with an expiration date. This date indicates when the drops shelf life is over.. i.e. when the drop is no longer safe to use SEALED off of the shelf. Once you open an eye drop bottle... the expiration date is irrelevant. Most drops in standard containers will last only 30 days once the seal is broken. Beyond that date, you can not be sure that the bottle is sterile and safe to use in your eyes. Some bottles have special filter tips which allow them to last longer (90 days) after opening but check with your Optometrist if in doubt! Go jays! dr.j Studioeyecare.com
